Natalie is really growing up. As most of you know, she no longer needs her paci to sleep! We are so excited that she has decided to be a big girl! She still takes a nap in the afternoon - anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours each day and usually wakes up super-happy and ready to go. She says some of the funniest things. She says her ABC's well and can count to 15 by herself and to 20 with a little help. She knows colors and shapes and can say the pledge of allegiance with a little help - and a few articulation errors. She loves to rock-a-bye at night or before nap and is super-snuggly and cuddly most of the time now and we are loving that! She loves playing with her friends and names all of our neighbor kid's houses as we drive by. She still loves to play outside and always wants to "go see the water" at the pond in our neighborhood. She sings lots of songs, like "Jesus Loves Me, He's Got the Whole World, Little Bunny FooFoo" and says nursery rhymes to herself while she's playing all the time. It is so cute! She got a little child's laptop toy for her birthday and she often sits at her little table "because I need to check my emails." The other day before we left the house, she grabbed a toy cell phone and said, "I need to take my phone so I can call somebody." And she also likes to "send messages" on her toy phones. It's hilarious. Apparently she is a little sponge taking in everything Darran and I do. She has really started learning to share a lot better and has suddenly become more polite, saying "please" and "thank you" a lot, sometimes without being prompted. She is also very aware of people's emotions right now and if she can tell someone is upset or frustrated, she often says, "Don't be sad." Then she usually follows that with a hug and a kiss and says, "You feel better?" I could go on and on. We are loving the 2's so far! Here are some more pictures!
