Natalie is almost 10 months old now and is having a wonderful 1st summer! We have been very busy but have been having lots of fun! Natalie is saying Mama a lot more and DaDa occasionally now. She loves to drop things and say Uh-Oh! Yesterday we heard her say Ba Ba for Bye-Bye several times when someone left the house. She has a newfound interest in entertaining an audience. If someone is with her and she has their attention, she is happy as can be and does all kinds of "tricks." She likes to cuddle up close with you, but not for long because she LOVES to crawl, pull up on the furniture, cruise around from table to chair to couch. And as of yesterday, she likes to pull up on the furniture and then let go with both hands to stand up by herself for several seconds. I'm sure she will be walking before we know it! She is still taking a bottle 4 times a day, and is eating more and more table or finger foods. Lately we've tried fresh peaches, watermelon, ground hamburger meat, cheese, waffles, crackers, and all kinds of cooked vegetables that Darran and I eat. She loves picking the food up herself and is getting really good at drinking from her sippy cup. She is sleeping well at night (around 10 hours) and takes good naps in the morning and afternoon. She still loves to be outside - even when it's hot and humid. She loves her bath, loves to hug her dolls and loves to clap her hands to music and play pattycake. She loves our dog, Lily. She pats her hair and occasionally grabs her tail, but Lily is getting really good at keeping her distance, even when Natalie crawls up to her really fast. Lily loves playing with Natalie and likes to bring her toys up to Natalie to play. It has been a great summer so far! Here are some pictures of our summer adventures!
Here are some pictures of Natalie's baby dedication at church on Mother's Day
On Father's Day we took Darran on an Oklahoma River boat cruise.
We enjoyed swimming with Mendy, Renna, and Reagan, and sporting our 3 matching swimsuits!
We have a new umbrella stroller and Natalie loves it!
Natalie likes to get underneath things a lot to play.
She had a great first 4th of July! We got to see a lot of family and Natalie loved the fireworks. She was a trooper and stayed up way past her bedtime and wasn't cranky at all. She would clap her hands and smile really big when she saw the fireworks.
Natalie especially enjoyed seeing her Great-Granny and her Mam-ma during the fireworks.
She loves to check the cattle with Grampa.
