Catching up......First Birthday FUN!!!

So sorry it has taken me so long to update the blog!!  It seems like after Natalie turned one, things at the Scott household kicked into overdrive!  To catch you up, in the last 6 weeks we have survived a very bad stomach flu, had a fabulous first birthday party, celebrated my brother's wedding (Natalie loves her Uncle Brian and her new Aunt Toyie), prepared for Halloween, went to the pumpkin patch, and did several other things that I'm forgetting to include. The next couple of blogs will hopefully catch you up on pictures!

Natalie had a great birthday party with lots of family and friends.  She had a little stomach bug the week before her birthday, but by Sept. 20 she was feeling great and ready for some birthday cake!  She is walking like crazy now, and also running at times.  She understands so much of what we say now and can follow  some simple instructions like "clap your hands," "Stomp your feet," "Take a drink."  She can also identify some of her body parts like nose, eyes, ears, mouth, and hair.  When we ask if she's ready for a bath, she goes into the bathroom, pushes the bathmat into the tub and starts tugging at her clothes to try to take them off to get ready for the bath!  It's hilarious!  She is jabbering all kinds of silly sounds and nonsense words and can intelligibly say several things now, including, Mama, Dada, WeWe (for Lily), ball, bow, hi, bye-bye, uh-oh, whoa, and wow, and something that sounds like "thank you."  She has 3 teeth on the top and is working on the 4th and has 3 teeth on the bottom and is working on the 4th one there also.  Her hair is getting a lot more curly and it is so much fun to fix with bows and clips!  She loves to play with Lily and her friends.  She also still LOVES being outside and usually is not very happy when we have to come in!  Her favorite food is still probably bananas and she gets so excited when she sees me buying them in a bunch at the store or taking them out of the bag.  She is drinking her milk really well from a sippy cup now and likes to sleep with a fuzzy bunny.  She typically takes a nap in the morning and one in the afternoon, but she is getting better about not having a meltdown if we miss a nap occasionally.  She likes to rock in the rocking chair and cuddle, especially late at night or first thing in the morning.  She has learned to "dance" and it's hilarious!  I need to get Darran to help me to post a video of it on here!

Anyway, we love her so much and can't believe how much she has grown and what she has learned to do in the past year.  Here's the first batch of pictures!

Here is everyone in her room watching her wake up for her party. Not sure if she was excited or scared for so many people to be in her room staring at her!
